Caught up with a cloud

Amisdt the clear blue sky,

That cloud was hanging along the horizon as it caught my eye through the window of the bustling metro.

How calm it must be to be able to sit above all this chaos,  of humans running without any end.  How happy that cloud must be,  to sit miles above. But how did it reach there, that’s another story a hundred worlds apart.

When the heat became unbearable, it rose from the sea and ascended until it found its own cool heaven. A place where it no longer needed to rise. Maybe it wasn’t even possible to do so. Because as it rose, it gained weight and the weight which would pull it apart. This weight will blow it to pieces and make its water spread miles apart.  So I ask the cloud,  was it worthy?  To leave that hot sea to be merged back with the land. Was it worth all your efforts and all your hopes? The cloud doesn’t answer as always.  But I am still fascinated by its magnificence. The beauty it adds to that dull blue sky isn’t comparable to the beauty of that small amount of water amidst the entire water body it rose from. It rose, made its own existence and became as beautiful as it could be. That’s amazing,  I thought. But then again, it would have to go back to the sea.

Now the metro was entering an underground tunnel, and darkness spread all around. It’s then I realized I am thankful for the cloud. For making my world a little better. For not staying in that large water body and for trying to rise above it all. Maybe I can also rise and inspire someone who is certain, they will fall.
