Fairy lights always bring back memories of childhood. The good old times when I did not know that terms like environment friendly exist. I was always awestruck by the brilliance of the glittering lights which made everything seem beautiful. Now, I would give away every fairy light to just admire a sky full of stars.
I clocked out of the Office a little late today. As I was walking down the lane, I noticed the mall was looking exceptionally pretty today. Later I realized, it was the darkness that made the mall seem pretty. To celebrate the festival season, the whole building had been decorated with fairy lights since a week. But every day, I went home when it was still bright and missed this fabulous view. Ahh, as a child I did not think that much. I would have just been happy to see something pleasing to my eyes. But now I try to find meaning in everything.
Childhood was like heaven, it felt like we were in a constant euphoric state back then. And maybe adulthood is the price we pay for that happiness. By bringing order into this world to make it happier for lots of other children.
P.S.- A note to self, “Nothing is free in this world”

Nicely done
